   It was late at night. You sat at your computer, looking for any clues to connect to the Kira case. Yes, you were on this case. You mentally cheered with joy when you were told that you would be working on this case. Especially working with him. By him, you mean L. The mysterious detective that had the most brilliant mind ever. You adored everything about him, from how he thinks to his love for sweets.
   "Inspector (L/n), have you found anything?" L asks while munching on a strawberry pocky stick. "None yet, sir. He seems to cover his tracks well." You reply. You had the utmost respect for him. But what this makes this case so difficult is your huge crush on him. Despite that though, you thought he would never go for you. You thought your (h/c) hair was too frizzy and dry to even be managed. You also thought your (s/t) face was too plain even with a little make-up.
    As you focus more on finding clues, L was focused on you. So, you couldn't see how he stared at you in a loving way. He liked how your (h/c) hair would rebel against how you wanted it. How your (s/t) face always seemed to glow. How your (e/c) sparkled when you talked. He frowns slightly. He remembered how you'd complain about your looks, like you hated it. It made him feel sad when you put yourself down like that.

He thought you were the most beautiful woman that he's ever met.

    You were so focused on finding some sort of clues that you didn't notice that L had moved closer to you. "What haven't you tried yet?" He whispered into your ear, making you jump a bit. Your face flared up, turning as red as a strawberry. He smiles a bit, amused by your reaction. "You know, if you keep turning into a strawberry like that, I might have to eat you up." If it were possible to turn more red than you already are, then you have achieved it. Was he.......flirting?! Oh sweet god.
    You glance at him from the corner of your eye. He was looking at the screen, making you feel a bit disappointed. That is, until he looks at you, making you turn away. If this keeps up, you would faint right then and there. You then feel his hand on your cheek, making you turn to look at him. His dark, coal eyes looking right into your bright, (e/c) eyes. It felt like forever. "Inspector, how do you feel about me? And please be honest."
    This threw you off a bit. You gulped a bit before answering. "W-well, sir....." "L. Just call me L when we're alone." "L......" You tested his name before nodding. "W-well, L.....to be the m-most honest with you.........I-I've had a crush o-on you since forever........" A pause. He studied you a bit before smiling more. "Then, you can consider the feelings returned." "E-eh?!" You were shocked.
    "B-but-! I don't look beautiful at all! My hair is all frizzy and my face is too plain!" You rant. He frowned a bit before cutting you off with a kiss. You freeze up. L, the greatest detective around, was KISSING YOU! He deepens the kiss a bit to get a reaction from you after a while of not responding. Snapping back to, you respond and wrap your arms around his pale neck. If this were a dream, you sure as hell didn't want to wake up. Breaking the kiss, L looks at you and smiles. You pants a bit. "Wh-why do you love me, L?" He chuckles at that.
